How the After School Football Club Works
Our After School Football Club runs throughout the school year, providing an exciting and enriching football experience for children in the junior and senior infant groups. With a greater focus on skill development, strategy, and teamwork, our senior section engages in thrilling small-sided games that hone their abilities and foster a love for the sport.
Rush N.S. Schedule
The Funsize Football Club runs from Monday to Friday, in Rush National School, during the school year.
- For Junior and Senior Infants, sessions are held from 13:40 PM to 14:35 PM.
- For 1st to 6th Class, sessions are held from 14:40 PM to 15:40 PM.
What do they need?
There is no special equipment or uniform needed, although we would recommend going to school on the days you are coming to the After School Fc wearing the school tracksuit and a pair of runners.
Extra water on these days is also recommended
Collection
We collect junior and senior infants directly from their teachers at their classrooms straight after school. The first to sixth classers make their way to us in the school yard
At the end of the session, parents pick up their children from us at the school unless otherwise stated on the registration form.
When school ends early, the After School Fc will be on at the time the school finishes and collection by parents will be an hour later
We are also willing to drop Rush NS children back to both Millbank Kids, Little Scholars, Back Yard Kids and Bright Beginners if needed
Weather
- We are mainly based outdoors
-This being said, we will be on if it is raining and sometimes we may move indoors
- The After School Fc will be on unless adverse weather conditions make it unsafe to be on the premises of the school
- In this instance, we use the whatsapp group as a prompt way to get the message to the parents/guardians
- If the school deem it necessary, they will also put a message on Aladdin
Registration & Payment
- Register online through this website
- Discounts available on multiple-day or child registrations per term too. This discount increases on every extra session.
- You can now avail of our monthly subscription service with discounts also applied. This service will run until May and will cancel after May payment. This Service will include all terms. The end of year blitz is paid separetly
- After online purchase, a form will appear. This needs to be completed to comply with child welfare protocols
Media
- Occasionally, we capture pictures and videos of participants.
- These media materials are exclusively used on our website and social media groups and any other resources we us to promote the After School FC.
- We strictly adhere to GDPR guidelines when using these visuals.
End of Year Blitz
- We culminate the year with an exciting end of year blitz featuring prizes, certificates, medals, and Funsize Football merchandise
- This Rush NS blitz was named in honour of the late Jason Belevics who participated in our after school footbal club for numerous years
